Secure Device Management System
Secure, centralized fleet management
The GripID SDMS (Secure Device Management System) is the single console for GripID devices and apps. It manages inventory, configuration, licenses, signed updates, certificates and the audit log. oOsiris badges are managed by oOMS, built on the same core.
One console for your entire device fleet
Built for integrators and institutions that run GripID devices across several sites. Choose where it runs: SaaS or fully on-premise. The same software runs in both models.
Signed updates. Firmware, OS and application updates carry two signatures, GripID’s and the customer’s, and licenses are signed by GripID. The device checks them before it installs anything. If an update fails to start, the device falls back automatically to the version it was running, and it never accepts an older version (anti-rollback). Every action is logged. The SDMS only handles device and administration data: it never stores biometric data.
oOsiris badges are updated over the air through the Wallet app, with the oOsiris Authenticator connected to a phone or computer, or at a secure counter.
Certificates. For devices and services, the SDMS requests the issuance, renewal and revocation of certificates from the PKI and tracks the status of each one; oOMS does the same for badges. Each customer is a separate tenant with its own certificate authority.
Sites with little or no connectivity are updated through the GripID Bridge app.
- Fleet inventory and real-time status
- Configuration and license management
- Signed firmware, OS and application updates, with automatic fallback and anti-rollback
- Certificate issuance, renewal and revocation
- Role-based access with SSO (OpenID Connect, SAML 2.0)
- Exportable audit log
Fleet inventory
Each device with its model, versions, status and last activity. Alerts flag the events that need attention.
Deployment
Run it as SaaS or fully on-premise on your own infrastructure. GripID provides patches and security advisories in both models.
Signed updates
Updates carry GripID’s signature and the customer’s; licenses are signed by GripID. The device verifies the signatures before it installs an update, falls back automatically if the update fails to start, and refuses older versions.
Access and audit
Role-based access with SSO through your identity provider. Administration, license and update operations are logged and can be exported.
For sites with little or no connectivity, the GripID Bridge app (iOS, Android and Windows) downloads the signed update and sends it to the device over local Wi-Fi.
